Cougar images are popular with car buffs and animal lovers both. There was obviously a reason the car received that name and the cougar has quite the reputation in the old west.

Cougar is another name for mountain lion. It is the top predator in the rocky mountains and lives mostly by hunting deer. A healthy balance of deer to cougar keeps the deer population in check and removes the diseased, injuried or weakened individuals. There were several cougar eradication efforts made before game management people knew better and the result was habitat destruction from the deer population explosion and followed by death and disease as the deer coould no longer find anything to eat.
